Personally, I think it's a question of balancing out how many oil treatments you do vs. how often you'll have to wash. Most people agree that the less you wash your hair the better, but it's difficult to go about with a head full of oil for days on end. So I usually do one or two deep oil treatments a week and CO wash them out the next day.

My hair doesn't really get oily if I go 3 days without washing it won't get oily much, I don't like waiting to wash my hair I wash everyother day, my hair isn't straight it's wavy and if I don't use heat my hair just is a mess and I actually cut out using heat last week I got addicted to it for couple months and I am depressed lately about my hair and really wanna get it back in shape.

I do a WO wash six days a week and follow this with a very very light oil. I do a full oil followed with a shampoo and condition and that same very very light oil. My hair is only mid neck length and I use just a dab of my oil mix (on my page under hair care section). Just because it works for me does not mean it would work for anyone else.

Might be a bit much for a heavy oiling, S&D your splits cause they aren't going anywhere no matter how well you treat your hair, that way you don't loose much length but get the splits gone.
