Why is vulnerability important in Christianity?

Jesus chose to be vulnerable, understanding that vulnerability was the pathway to finding his strength in God to live out his purpose. He would never crush a broken heart nor disregard the weak and vulnerable. He will make sure justice comes to those who are wronged.

What is the purpose of Christian ethics?

Christian ethics emphasizes morality. The law and the commandments are set within the context of devotion to God but are deontological standards defining what this morality is. The prophets of the Old Testament show God as rejecting all unrighteousness and injustice and commending those who live moral lives.

What are the ethical principles of Christianity?

Christians acknowledge not only a duty to announce the gospel, profess the faith, and worship God but also to live their entire lives according to God's will.

What does God say about protecting the vulnerable?

Psalm 82:3 (NIV) “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed.”

Why is ethics an important aspect of religion?

A central aspect of ethics is "the good life", the life worth living or life that is simply satisfying, which is held by many philosophers to be more important than traditional moral conduct. Most religions have an ethical component, often derived from purported supernatural revelation or guidance.

What did Jesus say about protecting the vulnerable?

Jesus then made his point about protecting the vulnerable: “Truly, I say to you, as you did it (or did not do it, as the case may be) to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” He was saying emphatically that we all will be judged by how we treat people in need.

What the Bible says about the weak?

"He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless." "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."

What does the Bible say about harming others?

Ephesians 4:31-32 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
