The families could be very difficult and it was stressful at times, however, the Community Services portion of LTC were family; very accepting and helpful. My co-workers became my best friends. My manager was amazing too.
For-profit Mental Hospital in aging state-owned building. Not cheerful
This employer cut so many corners over so long a period of time that it may be said that the facility was a perfect sphere. This was the kind of employer who would understaff when your program was overfilled, but send staff home early without pay on days when the census was low. Standard stuff but with an angry, anti-labor feeling.
stressful but rewarding
I spent many years working here and although it was stressful, I loved the people I worked with. I gave low ratings because the company was shut down which is why I wouldn't recommend it as a place to work. Otherwise I am satisfied with the many opportunities I have had here.
Facility closed corporate with no advance notice
This was a good place to work as supervisors and co workers were knowledgeable, compassionate and helpful. This facility was a MUCH needed resource. The lack of qualified mental health care will continue to create dangerous and/or tragic consequences. Missing my job and coworkers a lot!
Good place to work
This is a psychiatric facility that got shut down by the corporate headquarters. It was a fun place to work as an RN. The management was not that good as they did not really care about the staff
Hard work and rewarding therapy
This would not be a place for a person who does not practice self care. The work is very hard with staffing to clients not very balanced but very rewarding.
Excellent team approach to the care of Pediatric patients and their families
I feel that I was inspired to continue my education while employed at the Lowell Treatment Center. I worked with a team of amazing professionals who were dedicated, passionate, and brilliant.
