Symptoms
Actonel ® and Fosamax ® have also been approved by the FDA for the treatment of osteoporosis in men. Etidronate (Didronel ®) was the first bisphosphonate used clinically in the United States and has been approved for the treatment of Paget’s disease, but not for osteoporosis.
Causes
Four bisphosphonates are currently used for osteoporosis in Canada: alendronate (Fosamax®, Fosavance® and generics), risedronate (Actonel®, Actonel DR™ and generics), zoledronic acid (Aclasta® and generics) and etidronate (Didrocal® and generics). HOW DO THEY WORK?
Prevention
