ADD ONE TABLET TO EACH TEN GALLONS (40L) OF AQUARIUM WATER. NOTE: FOR AQUARIUMS 40 GALLONS OR LARGER, AND FOR SOFT WATER AND/OR ACID WATER WITH LOW ALKALINITY, DISSOLVE TABLETS BEFORE ADDING TO AQUARIUM. REMOVE CARBON FROM FILTER DURING USE. IF NECESSARY, A SECOND DOSE MAY BE ADDED TO WATER IN FOUR DAYS.
How do you use Tetra Parasite Guard?
TETRA PARASITE GUARD TREATMENT FOR ANCHOR WORMS AND FISH LICE: 1st day: Remove carbon from your filter and do a 25% water change (more if your aquarium is smaller than 30 gallons, say, 30-40%.) before first dosage according to instructions (1 tablet per gallon). Wait 48 hours.
Can I put ick guard in tank with fish?
With it being a 10 gallon tank, it only houses up to 4 or 5 fish so add them one at a time to avoid issues like ick. Also, make sure the water is 78 degrees and test the water for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate to make sure it is safe to add fish.
Can I put treatment in my fish tank?
If you're relatively new to fishkeeping, the most effective and safest way is to use an aquarium-safe Ich medication. First, make sure the temperature of your aquarium is appropriate for the types of fish you keep (76° to 80° F for most tropical fish).
Is Tetra LifeGuard all in one treatment safe for snails?
Are snails affected by this product? would I need to remove them? The snails would need to be removed as this product is not suitable scaleless fish, invertebrates (shrimp, snails, etc.), or newly set up tanks.
How long does Tetra LifeGuard last?
We recommend dosing for 5 days, take a day off and run fresh carbon, do a water change, and then dose again for 5 more days IF the fish is not 100% well.
How do you use lifeguard all in one treatment?
Add one tablet per day to each 5 gallons (19 L) of aquarium water. Treat for five consecutive days, at 24-hour intervals. For best results, after five-day treatment, wait another 24 hours (day 6) before returning activated carbon and turning on UV sterilizer.
How do I clean my tank after ich?
Drain the aquarium of water and refill it. Restart the fish tank filters and add a little household ammonia to feed the biological filter — just enough to reach 0.5 ppm using an ammonia test kit. Raise the fish aquarium water temperature to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Let the aquarium run for about 10 days.
How long does it take for ick treatment to work?
Some in the fish keeping community even believe ich is present in any tank that holds fish. Either way, once it finds its way to your tank, you will want to act fast. Thankfully, treatment is usually effective, but you need to be prepared for a few days to over a week of treating the affected fish and water.
Should I turn off filter when medicating fish?
No, you do not need to turn off a standard aquarium filter. You do, however, need to remove any chemical filtration media if you are dosing a medication in the water. This is media like carbon, Zeolite™, phosphate removers, and scavenger resins like Purigen®.
Should I feed my fish while medicating?
Generally, it is fine to feed fish whilst they are undergoing a course of treatment, as long as they are still eating. However, always follow any specific instructions regarding feeding given on the label of the treatment, and do not be tempted to overfeed.
How do you use a multi cure fish?
Dosage rates: Use 0.25ml (5 drops) per 1L of use at the rate of 5mL per 20L of aquarium water. For tetra species, baby fish and scaleless fish (loaches etc) use at a rate of 5mL per 40L of aquarium water. DO NOT OVERDOSE. Repeat treatment after 3 days.
