There are 36 beds at Heartland for the residential treatment program. During this program, patients live on campus while receiving care and have access to treatment staff day and night.

Born and raised in Palm Springs, Jamie has been working in the medical field for over 30 years. Recovery became, and has remained, a passion of Jamie’s, as a result of the effects her mother’s addiction, and later, the addiction struggles of two of her three children had on her.

Who is Nicole Bower?
Executive Director. Nicole Bower was born in Houston and raised in Bastrop, Texas. She graduated in 2000 from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Psychology and got her MBA in healthcare management in 2008. She began working with people receiving mental health and substance abuse treatment in 2000.

Matthew A. Berger, MD is currently the medical director of the Eating Disorder Program at Banyan Philadelphia. Prior to joining Banyan Treatment Centers, Dr. Berger was the director of the Senior Medical Health Unit at Moses Taylor Hospital, located in Scranton, PA.
What We Treat
While there are many eating disorders, the main three are bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. At our treatment facility in Philadelphia, we offer different eating disorder treatments which can help you or a loved one develop a new relationship with food, body, and mind.
Outpatient Eating Disorder Treatment
Our outpatient eating disorder support includes several levels of outpatient care, such as partial hospitalization and Partial hospitalization programs and intensive outpatient programs require patients to come to the facility six days a week to receive seven hours of treatment per day.
