INTRO Hey guys, and welcome to the third episode of my Rust Tips & Tricks series. This ongoing series is designed to guide players through rust. If you have any suggestions for videos to add to the series, please feel free to let me know in the comments.
How to use blue keycard in Control Room?
Take the stairs up, and then the stairs on the left until you see a door with a “ Control Room ” sign above it. Go to the right of this door and then place your fuse in the fusebox, which will allow you to use your blue keycard on the Control Room door.
What keycards do you need for Rust?
The hardest of all the Rust keycards to get, red keycards will always need you to have a fuse, blue keycard, and sometimes even a green keycard. Don’t waste your time unless you have the two preceding keycards. Here’s a quick list of red keycard locations in Rust: – Power Plant (two fuses, blue keycard, green keycard required)
How to get a red keycard?

Descend the ladder, bring out your torch and then follow the tunnel until you find a door that requires your green keycard. Swipe the keycard and then hang a right until you come up to a burning barrel, then go left and all the way into the room until you find your blue keycard on the desk.
Where to find the red keycard in Rust?
The next monument where you can find the red keycard in Rust is at the Trainyard, which may also be the easiest and most lucrative spot to nab one. You will just need a blue keycard and a fuse for this monument.
How many crates are there in the water treatment plant?
There are quite a few crates dotted around the Water Treatment Plant — around 20 to 25 (if you don't include the Medical Crates that also spawn in the area). This amount of loot is what makes it a popular target for scavengers and teams looking to sweep an area of valuable gear in a short amount of time.
Why is the Water Treatment Plant so highly contested?
Because the Water Treatment Plant is so highly contested, it's quite unlikely that any of the crates around the exterior of the Plant will have any loot left in them. The outside areas are very low on radiation, which means a lot of fresh spawns or players with rudimentary gear often make a beeline for the Plant.
Where is radiation in the sewer?
Radiation is more common in the sewer that runs through the middle of the Monument, on top of the large water tower, and inside one of the rooms of the main Puzzle room. You will need a Hazmat to survive in these specific areas.
Is the water treatment plant in Rust easy to loot?
The Water Treatment Plant is a large Monument in Rust that's fairly easy to loot. Although that sounds nice, it's because of its size and amount of simple loot on offer that this Monument can become one of the most dangerous on the map.
How to find the key card in the harbor?
Firstly, you want to find this building which is on the outskirts of the harbor. Head into the bottom floor, put a fuse in and flip the switch. Head back out and up to the top floor, swipe your green key card and you’re in. You’ll find 1 or 2 crates and a blue key card on the desk.
Where do green key cards spawn?
The green key cards spawn on desks in four of the monuments which are the gas station, the supermarket, the junkyard and the lighthouse. There’s also a chance that you’ll get one off of scientists which provided you’ve got a gun are very easy to kill.
Do you need a green key card to get into the blue room in the train yard?
Now unlike the airfield and power plant you don’t actually need a green key card to get into the blue room at the train yard. That being said it’s worth taking one with you if you have one as the doors are practically right next to each other so why not get some extra loot. Also, don’t forget to bring along an electric fuse as you’re going to need one.
Is a key card rare?
None of the key cards seem to be rare provided you know where to look for them and they seem to spawn very quickly. Additionally, it’s important to note that in order to use a key card it actually has to be in your hands and you attack the keypads with them to swipe them through and unlock the doors.
Obtaining
The Blue Keycard is an item found in tier 1 monuments except for the Dome. This means that you can find one in these monuments: Sewer Branch, Satellite Dish and Harbor .
Usage
When found, it can be used to gain access to puzzle areas of tier 2 monuments ( Water Treatment Plant, Train Yard, Airfield and Power Plant ).
