Rewarding job but not enough pay

I have enjoyed my time working here at Evolve. The job itself is very rewarding and I have learned so much but we don’t get paid nearly enough for the work that we do. This position is more than just a counselor you are the nurse the babysitter the therapist and sometimes a chef.

Overworked and underpaid

Working at evolve can be very exhausting, your dealing with teens going through very difficult times, and the company expects you to keep a schedule. Expect very little praise on the good things you do or double shifts you pull. As a residential counselor expect to make lots of mistakes with little training.

Great place to work!

I love working for Evolve! It is such a rewarding job that provides valuable experience working with at-risk teens. It's clearly important to upper management that all employees go through the proper training and feel supported and ready for this role. I really enjoy working with the kids, however it can definitely have its challenging moments.

Meaningful job, bad corporate

The job is fine and makes me feel fulfilled, but corporate is very cheap and it shows. Lack of bonuses, write ups for overtime, and raises of less than a dollar annually.

Choose somewhere else to work..

I was so excited for this position, only to be vastly disappointed. Unrealistic expectations at all times. Many changes to programming that put more stress on counselors and the kids. Little to no boundaries in terms of life/work balance. Constantly bombarded with emails by upper management, mostly nitpicking.

Low pay for EXTREMELY hard work

Pay & benefits My pay and benefits at Evolve Treatment Center are low. RC’s don’t get paid nearly enough for the work they do. Employees have not received any compensation for working during the pandemic.

Hostile and unwelcoming workplace

The management staff at Evolve tropenly allowed harassment of their employees by fellow employees and did nothing about it. They created a hostile work environment that made employees uncomfortable. They also force their employees to work 8 hour shifts with no breaks.
