HD BROWS is a bespoke eyebrow treatment that is totally tailored to you, not a brow stencil in sight. It's so much more than a standard eyebrow tint and wax; our expertly trained stylists combine our unique design formula with custom-blended colour, hair removal and make up application for brows that suit you.

How long does HD Brow last?

Are HD Brows painful?

'They hurt in the sense that there is waxing, threading and plucking involved so it really comes down to the individual person and their pain threshold. You'll probably experience some discomfort or stingy although it is by no means unbearable and it is only brief. '

Are HD Brows better than microblading?

For some, HD Brows are ideal when you are going somewhere and want a short-term fix to the eyebrow problem. Microblading lasts a lot longer but does include having to have a tiny needle injecting ink into your skin – although if you have already had tattoos, then this won't be such a worry for you.

Are HD Brows tattooed?

Is HD Brows semi-permanent? The treatment is not classed as semi-permanent, however we do use permanent tint on the brows during the treatment. The lasting effects of this vary depending on skin type, hair growth and skin care routine. Results of the hd brows treatment typically last around 4-6 weeks.

Can I wear makeup after HD Brows?

Your stylist will apply some HD Brows cosmetics at the finishing stage of your treatment. After that, we advise that you avoid applying any further, heavy make up for 24 hours following eyebrow waxing or threading.

Do HD Brows wash off?

As mentioned before we advise people to use this treatment as a one of for special occasions as the tint does wash off from the skin therefore it is only temporary.

Can I wash my face after HD Brows?

Can I shower or wash my face after eyebrow tinting? Although it's not a problem to get your eyebrows wet after a tinting treatment, you can try to avoid washing for at least 12 hours. You should also avoid excessive touching or rubbing for 24 hours to avoid irritation.

How often should HD Brows be done?

HD Brows is the trademark of High Definition Brows Ltd, and is the UK’s number one salon treatment for brows. Some salons may (illegally) use the term ‘HD brows’ in their service list, but the legit HD Brows treatment can only be performed by specially trained stylists. So, what is it?

How long does microblading last?

No, microblading is a semi-permanent treatment which lasts for 1-3 years, and costs around £500. While HD Brows does involve an optional permanent tint on your brows, the makeup that the stylist applies to draw your brows in will be temporary.

What is HD Brows?

HD Brows is a bespoke treatment that’s totally tailored to each client. It’s often referred to as being a 7 step treatment. However once you train in HD Brows or get the treatment done, you’ll quickly learn that there is a lot more to it than that. Here, we’ll strip it back to the 7 basic principles of HD Brows.

How long before a wax test for eyebrow tinting?

A patch test is required 48 hours before your first treatment, but then after that you’ll only need one again if you have a 6 month period where you don’t come into contact with PPD (the tinting ingredient in our Brow Dyes). You can also opt to have a wax test too, which is advisable if you have sensitive skin.

Do HD brows use threading?

In the HD Brows treatment, we don’t use threading to design the shape of the brow. We use it to remove any of those fair hairs that we don’t want to use in the brow shape, blending away any tell-tale wax lines and ensuring smooth make up application.

Can HD Brows remove hair?

To maintain that fresh brow feeling, i’s really important you follow all aftercare advice. Rule number 1: your brows are now the property of your HD Brows stylist and only they can remove a single hair from your brows. Just kidding.

What is a brow sculpt?

How long does it take to get brows laminated?

The brow lamination process can take up to 12 minutes, however, other tinting and hair removal techniques are incorporated into the treatment. When brow lamination is incorporated into the HD Brows treatment, it should take roughly 55 minutes.

How to change eyebrow lamination direction?

In the first step , a cream is applied that breaks down bonds in the eyebrow hairs so they can be manipulated into a new position. In the second step, another cream is applied to rebuild these bonds and set the brows in their new uniform position. Can you use brow lamination for microblading?

What is brow lamination?

Brow lamination has increased in popularity in the last few years as a unique and effective treatment for those with sparse or fine eyebrows. During the two step treatment, your therapist will brush your eyebrow hairs upwards before coating them in a chemical solution known as eyebrow perm.

What is HD Brow Sculpt treatment?

HD Brow Sculpting is treatment by HD Brows registered, which includes the lamination process and a 360 degree approach to brow grooming, and was developed from the existing HD (High Definition) Brow treatment. HD Brow sculpt aftercare

Looking after your new brows is actually pretty straight forward. Your therapist will tell you to avoid getting the area wet, or excessive rubbing, for 24 hours after the treatment, and avoid direct contact with sunlight, and saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools, for 48 hours.

Can a stylist get close to the shape of a brow?

In the waxing stage your Stylist will probably not get as close to the shape of the brow as they would for a female client. Also, when tweezing the hairs, the technique of plucking one then miss one will be used so they are not as defined. Often with men, it is more of a tidy up rather than designing a shape.

Does threading remove hair from brows?

The waxing removes unwanted hair from around the brow shape, whereas threading blends in the waxed area with the other downy hairs on the face to avoid harsh lines as well as to take further hairs closer to the shape. Tweezing can then remove individual hairs to really create that perfect, High Definition Brows shape.

How does waxing eyebrows work?

How It Works: Waxing involves applying a thin layer of warm (not scalding hot) wax over the area from which you wish to remove hair. A strip of fabric is placed over the wax and is then pulled off quickly to remove the hair underneath. "When done properly, waxing is applied at a temperature that softens the pore and allows the hair to remove without breakage, like other forms of hair removal can do," says international brow stylist Melanie Marris. Depending on the rate of your hair growth, an eyebrow wax should last you two to three weeks before your next appointment.

How does brow lamination work?

"Brow lamination is a three-step process that involves applying a perming solution to break down the bonds within the brows, then using a fixing solution to set and form the hairs into the new shape, and finally, a brow serum application to restore moisture back into the brows and skin."

How does henna work?

First, the brows are shaped by tweezing and waxing, then your desired henna shade is mixed with water to form a paste-like consistency.

How does microblading work?

How It Works: Microblading (aka the modern form of eyebrow tattooing) is a form of semi-permanent makeup that is used to fill in the brow. "The process is performed by creating defined, hair-like strokes in the brow using a needle and brow pigment ink," says Marris.

What is eyebrow tinting?

"Eyebrow tinting is the process of coloring the brow hair with a vegetable-based dye mixed with a 3 percent peroxide to activate, " explains Marris. Brow tinting is fairly quick and the actual tinting process lasts a few minutes.

How long does it take to microblade a brow?

All in all, the process takes about two hours. If you have alopecia or have gone through chemotherapy, microblading is a great, semi-permanent natural-looking option to fill in any sparse areas of the brow.
