If I'd only known

If ChampVA had givin me the correct info. up front, I wouldn't have had the wife cancel her work Ins. It was on the Web site, even the list of which Reg. offices where doing it didn't have an (*) beside the name of my RO meaning they were still taking patients.

Champ Va

Another thought regarding maintenance prescriptions. There is no copay or deductables for the prescriptions that my wife is supposed to take every day. They send three months at a time on the meds by mail program. If I was buying them at Costco, the yearly bill would be in the $20,000 range. They are by brand names, not generics.

Thanks the replies

I had her cancel her Ins. thinking that using the CITI program we wouldn't have the 25% co-pay for medical. She is signed up for meds by mail. I knew before hand that if she kept her work ins. we wouldn't have a co-pay (work ins. primary, Champva secondary) But When I found the CITI program I could see us saving that work ins. premium $138. month.

champva

The wife got her champva card and can go for treatment at the va hospital but our young daughter cannot, and she has a very rare disease.

someone on the telephone

When I asked about her, they said they do not treat children.I asked about her mother later and that was a definite yes. Thanks for the link.
