How do you cure pearly penile papules?
Pearly penile papules cannot be prevented and do not require any specific treatment. As they present no health risk or symptoms, it is uncommon for a doctor to prescribe treatment options to reduce or remove the growths.
Should I worry about pearly penile papules?
Another condition that's normal and no cause for concern is pearly penile papules. These whitish bumps appear on the glans (head) of the penis or along the edge of the glans in many guys. Pimples, cysts, ingrown hairs and papules won't do any harm — though if you try to pop them they could get infected.
Can PPP be removed?
Carbon dioxide laser surgery can be effective in getting rid of PPP. Radiosurgery, where targeted radiation is used to eliminate excess cells, is a similarly effective and accurate treatment. Your PPP can be frozen off using cryotherapy, or, finally, your PPP can be surgically removed.
Does PPP go away?
Your dermatologist may be able to use cryotherapy to freeze the growths off. Without treatment, your penile papules can grow smaller with time and may even go away on their own.
