The number of people in 2014 who received treatment at a private doctor's office (780,000) was greater than the numbers in 2002 to 2005, but it was similar to the numbers in 2006 to 2013. Because over three fourths of the people in 2014 who received substance use treatment in the past year were aged 26 or older (3.2 million of the 4.1 million people who received treatment), this section of the report does not discuss locations of substance use treatment by age group.
