Nothing

High stress, low pay, physically dangerous and emotionally draining job with an exclusionary culture and very high turnover. I would not recommend this job to anyone.

Awfully unprofessional

Just don’t do it... find something else! It’s very unprofessional and they don’t respect parents.. they don’t care about anyone. Upper management and the nurses look down on the workers yet they don’t even know how to work the pod 🤦🏽‍♀️.

It was fine

Dangerous place to work but, overall I got along with my colleagues. Management will not support you. Harassment is rampant there and it goes unchecked.

I loved it there but the money could be improved

I loved it there the benefits are amazing, the men there are awesome. Dont be afraid to work with the mental ill i I laughed everyday. But its the state so the pay is not as much as a private agency. I'd still be there if i could have found a better position. If i go back that is the goal.

Not enough training

I did not have enough training and my manager was always to busy to help with my job. They keep telling me that I knew what I was doing and I did not because I was not trained properly.

Tough job

I worked here for about 6 months. I came right out of corrections. It started off wonderful. Then you get to your assigned building. Right off the bat i got my first double. I don't mind hard work. I never felt I was respected by the "veterans".

Difficult work environment

If you are an experienced individual who is comfortable working in a prison environment where you have face-to-face and one-on-one contact with the population then this is a place for you. Your office is located in the pods where the residents live.

Whew a mess! You will love your residents but know your boundaries cause they will try you. Staff can be a mess tho. Upper mangement trying to get you fired. Like get over-staffed first so you wont create more doubles because we like to go home like everyone else. They stay adding new task but can’t find money for a raise.

Favoritism with certain departments and low pay for the type of work you're supposed to do

Rehab. Therapist- F/C (Current Employee) - Gainesville, FL - November 26, 2019

Good job to work at

Good job to work at, Has good benefits for dental vision and health if you have kids. Be accountable for your actions and how you handle situations...

Not so great

Poor work environment. Gossip is a must. Management is not professional and self serving. No job security and low pay for the expectation of staff. No benefits

Not the best place to work. Poor Management

Management is a joke. Always short staffed. You don't know if you'll be going home or staying an extra 16 to 32 hours. It's difficult maintaining a life of a parent, especially as a single parent, and to keep the job here. Your life is always at risk without combat pay.
