The treatment instructions say the process can take up to a few weeks, depending on the stain. I don't think it will end up being that long for me, but regardless I'd like to have the cleaner running in the pool every now and then. The pH level is below 7 (see below) so I was thinking not to risk putting it in.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Remove gross filth or heavy soil. For heavily soiled areas, a pre-cleaning step is required. Apply AfterShock generously and uniformly by brush, roller or airless spray and ensure that the surface is completely coated. Allow to air dry.

Dosage

2 oz per 15,000 gallons of water will remove 1 ppm chlorine and 2 ppm bromine.

Directions

Add two ounces (1/4 container) per 15,000 gallons of pool water to lower chlorine residual 1 ppm or bromine 2 ppm.
