Hi all. Before I come across like I’m bashing this sub and its users in any way, I want to iterate how glad I am this sub exists and, for the most part, how helpful I think it is! I had a fairly rough and complicated surgery and unfortunately the surgeon didn’t provide much information at all, neither before nor after my procedure.

Infection Experience
This sub has been so helpful during my wisdom teeth removal I wanted to post about my experience with getting an infection in my wisdom tooth extraction site. I am a little over 2 weeks out at this point.
Do the holes close?
Post op day 6. Got all 4 taken out. Stitches fell out on one side top and bottom (the less swollen side of the two) but the bottom there is no blood clot and it’s just a decent sized hole and I can just see down into it. Called my surgeons office and they said the stitches falling out was normal this soon.
I rinsed minutes after surgery, I used straws the same day and the day after
I wasn't told anything about post-operation do's and don'ts so I just wanted to share my experience.
