Where is Weston Water Treatment Plant?
The Weston water treatment plant is based on the real world location of Weston Reservoir, a part of the greater Boston water supply maintained by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.
When was the Boston wastewater plant built?
The plant was built in 20 51 as part of a decade-long plan to modernize Boston 's aging sanitation systems. The facility was equipped with mostly cheap equipment, the exception being the Mark-VI emergency flood control pump. In the years prior to the Great War, the corporation operating the treatment plant cited record profit losses in the Massachusetts regional division. They claimed this was due to a quote, "high operating costs and a difficult regulatory environment."
What weapons do mutants use?
These mutants are armed with rocket launchers and sniper rifles. There is at least one super mutant suicider with a mini nuke. The trailers and shack in the very middle of the basin have floor traps in their entrances, including a tripwire-activated missile launcher.
Overview
The water treatment room creates water for your vault, and is affected by the Perception stat of the vault dwellers working there. It is one of the facilities available at the start of the game.
Water production
To increase the speed at which water is produced; Place dwellers with better Perception in this room.
Notes
Being the Tier I room for water production, the water treatment facility becomes obsolete once the Water purification room is unlocked at 80 dwellers, which subsequently becomes obsolete once the Nuka-Cola bottler is unlocked at 100 dwellers.
Layout
Whenever Walter isn't outside taking a smoke break, he can be found inside during working hours, tinkering with the various machines within the plant, and speaking to him will initiate the unmarked quests Treatment and Walter's Scrap Metal.
Notes
The locked desk remains named "locked desk" even after the lock is picked.
Bugs
Walter still describes problems with a possible water shortage and/or contamination even after Holy Water ( Broken Steel add-on) is completed. [verified]

Layout
The wastewater treatment plant is located directly east of Ulysses' Temple. After detonating the warhead near the water pipe, it can be reached by traveling along the top of the ruined building lying on its side. A rocky path continues past the building, which leads to the plant. Access is gained via a sewer grate.
Appearances
The wastewater treatment plant appears only in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Lonesome Road .
