Just thought I would update this thread. Last time I wrote on here, I had lost about half a stone but since late October, I have been over indulging my self with chestnut and combined with the Christmas food as well, I have put it all back on and more beside so will now have to try really hard to lose weight over the next few weeks.

Good luck with the weight watching! No sneaking to the kitchen for some extra nuts when your wife isn't looking! You will not be alone in trying to lose a few pounds just now - I will be trying too, ate a lots of sweets with Dad when he was very ill (the doctor told him to, so I figured it was ok for me too), have done a fair bit of this since losing him too though, so trying to lay off them a bit in 2013.

Thanks you for the reply. I only have a few days worth of chestnuts left so will not be having any more till October. My wife is keeping a watchfull eye on me. So hopefully should give me a few months to lose a few pounds.

Hi Brian - that used to be my excuse for eating nuts too because they are good for you. Going to try and lose some extra pounds myself. I always say I will but my willpower isn't too good at the minute. I have another cold and made an appointment to see my doctor next Monday.
