These 50-minute, live video-sessions are private, confidential, and can take place from the convenience of your laptop or smartphone. Self-screening programs provide a quick and simple way to screen yourself with complete anonymity. CAPS offers anonymous and confidential online screenings for for depression and anxiety. Completing these screenings will help you determine if your recent thoughts or behaviors may be associated with a common, treatable mental health issue.

Don't go hungry

Both Modesto A. Maidique and Biscayne Bay Campus have student food pantries. No proof of need is required and students can access the pantry once a week taking up to 10 pounds of food each visit.

Summer Treatment Program Pre-K

Based on the nationally acclaimed Summer Treatment Program, the Summer Treatment Program for Pre-Kindergarteners (STP Pre-K) is a comprehensive school readiness program for children entering kindergarten with behavioral, emotional and learning challenges.

Summer positions are available for enthusiastic Counselors (new and returning), Lead Counselors and Teachers who are interested in gaining hands on child intervention work by helping young children and their families using evidence-based techniques to improve functioning, increase school readiness, and prepare children for kindergarten.

Registration holds

Florida International University requires proof of immunization for MMR, Hepatitis B, and Meningitis. Immunization holds will prevent you from registering for classes in the coming semester. Students must provide proof of vaccination or waivers (where applicable) to release these holds.

Requesting immunization documents

Please complete an FIU Authorization for Release of Immunization Information Form before requesting a record. All requests must be accompanied by a valid photo ID.

FAQs

I’m a dual enrollment student/special program student and I will not be attending on-campus classes. Do I still need to submit immunization records? Health Compliance recommends that all students submit proof of immunizations for the three required vaccinations of MMR, Meningitis, and Hepatitis B.
