My wainscoting is standard 4 ft. tall. I actually wanted it taller in the bedroom but DH said money was tight and it would be less waste to go with the 4ft. so I did. In making my decision to go tall I learned from another poster that tall wainscoting can bring a ceiling down and make a room smaller/cozier.
