Located in rural Washington, Pennsylvania, the residential facility of Greenbriar can accommodate nearly 62 beds in a co-ed program. The residential unit is a spacious, two-story building. It is a beautiful building and is surrounded by pine trees.
Food
Clients are served three nutritious meals every day in the facility’s dining room, cafeteria-style. The kitchen staff prepares all the meals. While the chefs can accommodate special dietary requests, it is not always possible given the number of clients.
Treatment Program
Clients start their treatment program at Greenbriar by undergoing an initial assessment. Based on the results of the assessment, the clients are either transferred to an intensive outpatient program (IOP) or a residential treatment program.

The center has been providing care, education, and support for these individuals for more than three decades and boasts of several locations in various counties within Pennsylvania some of which include Wexford, Pittsburgh, and New Kensington. The center is known for approaching cases medically and psychologically and incorporates the twelve-step program throughout the recovery period. The facility offers treatment to individuals suffering from co-occurring disorders and also provides various level of care to its clients. Some of these include detoxification, a day partial outpatient program, and an inpatient rehabilitation program. The detox program takes place in Washington and is also attached to the inpatient center. Medication-assisted treatment may also be offered during the detox process. Additionally, the treatment center provides the two separate, gender-specific halfway houses called Lighthouse for Women and Lighthouse for Men. Outpatient alcohol and drug addiction therapy allows our clients to remain at home and receive treatment during the day or evening. Some clients are able to continue working without any disruption to their job.
