how much do therapeutic staff support get paid at childrens crisis treatment

by Dr. Beatrice Kling Published 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago

$35,483/yr

Ok for the short term, not the long term

Hours can be unstable if you aren't a full-time employee, and most positions are paid below average. Some supervisors are more supportive than others.

Positive workplace culture

There is room for advancement, the staff is very helpful, the company shows compassion and willingness to learn and understand each client and employee, and staff works together to get the job done. Each staff person is responsible for a certain part of the company, which makes their job and your job, so much easier.

Very good place

Such a good atmosphere and great staff. I am glad to be an employee for this company. Working here makes me feel proud and secure. Management really cares anojt its staff.

Toxic Work Environment

Very unwelcoming, not supportive for new employees and demands are more than what you are trained for if trained at all. The director and supervisors do not respond to concerns and enable the negativity incubated in the TN amongst staff. Weighs on mental health.

Just a job

My work was pretty basic accounting, month-end close, year-end close. Financial statement analysis. Budget. Audit liaison. Oversee payroll and accounts payable.

Helping children but very poor work culture

The best part of this job was seeing your client progress. However, positions are underpaid for the amount of work done. CCTC is very unorganized, and the staff in office, supervisors, and management are immature. Furthermore, it is presented clearly that Hispanics/Latinos are the ones that get opportunities.fee

Great job environment to work around

This job opportunity has provided me with a lot tools to deal with children in mental health world. Some of the limitations come with the salary, it is hard to cover the cost of living with their compensation.

Commercial Insurance Reimbursement for Mental Health

Find out which insurance companies pay mental health providers the best in our interactive charts below:

Mental Health Credentialing Recommendations

In our experience, the higher the reimbursement rate, the higher your license level need be to become in-network with that company.

Tips on Avoiding Low Paying & Complex Plans

Avoid subcontracted plans if you don’t understand them. When a plan is subcontracted out to a different insurance provider, often times that network is smaller and offers different, lower rates. (This isn’t always the case!)

Credentialing Advice for Mental Health Providers

Some companies require you to register a legal business, E-IN, and group NPI. You might decide you don’t want to bother with all of that added work.

Billing Advice

Try to avoid companies that require the use of taxonomy codes, license level modifiers, EDI enrollments, and prior authorizations. This does dramatically limit the companies you can work with, but it will save you time, headache, and frustration.
