My Overall Smile Direct Review

All in all, I have had a fairly smooth journey with Smile Direct Club (SDC) and am happy with how the experience turned out. My initial plan was 6 months, which SDC purports as their standard treatment plan.

Products I Bought to Help Me Along the Way

First, I will say that a lot of my experience went so easily because I was prepared… or bought a few little items as I found that I needed them.

Will Your Teeth Hurt?

One of the first things people want to know is how much this will hurt. I say it depends on a lot of factors, to include your pain tolerance and how much movement your teeth will require.

Some Suggestions for Handling Tooth Pain

I think part of why I had such little pain was that I was taking Epsom salt baths regularly, which give a body more magnesium, so body parts don’t tend to hurt as badly because of the extra magnesium.

Gum Problems

As always, you should have an evaluation from your dentist before getting any outside dental treatment.

Aligners and Retainers

All of my aligners but two fit essentially perfectly, and they and my retainers came within the exact amount of time. The two sets that I had to work to get in went in after a few minutes of putting in and removing, and using my chewies.

My Smile Direct Club Before and After Pictures

I really loved where “Problem Tooth #2” was positioned, I think it turned out really well.

All done!

Hello all! I would like to update everyone on my SDC journey.#N#I completed my last (18th) tray sometime in May. As you can see from my pictures, my bottom teeth are perfectly straight now! I am so happy!#N#I browsed through some of the other reviews on Realself..

Tray 9 and tray 13 (out of 18)

Hello all! I'm about to finish my 5th month of 6 soon, so I'd like to share with you some updates with my progress.#N#I think the photo evidence I have provided here tells it all! Look at the progress between month 3 and 5!! I can't believe it! I was kinda disappointed with the lack of visible progress in my first 3 months (9 trays), but once month 4 hit I began to see a lot of improvement! I just put in my last tray for month 5 (very tight), and I think my bottom teeth are near perfect.

5th tray - What I've learned

So I have just switched to my 5th tray (of 18). I’ve included a picture of my bottom teeth, where the most work is going. I don’t notice much of a difference yet. I will include a list of things that I have learned during my first month of treatment. I hope this helps you all!#N#1. My treatment begins by pushing all my teeth forward.
