What is the staff like at Park Avenue Extended Care?

How long does primary treatment take?

According to NIDA and Hennepin County, treatment services must be provided over a minimum of 90 days in order to be of full benefit. Therefore, when funding allows, clients will remain engaged in primary treatment for a minimum of 13 weeks.

Who is the maintenance manager at Park Avenue Center?

Lonnie joined Park Avenue Center with over 25 years of experience working in the maintenance field. He most recently worked as a Maintenance Manager with the Mora Housing Authority. He chose to work in the maintenance field because he is passionate about helping others and loves to do something different every day.

What is Park Avenue Center?

Housing at Park Avenue Center is a combination of duplexes and small unit apartment buildings located in south Minneapolis. The residences are warm, inviting and meticulously maintained. Each residence has a washer and dryer that is free for client use. Kitchens are fully stocked with cooking equipment and basic staples. Clients are taken grocery shopping each week to select their own food and the food is paid for by Park Avenue Center. Clients living in the housing are transported to and from the treatment buildings. House managers are present nightly. Room and board costs are absorbed by the facility.

How long does IOP stay in housing?

While not required, it is encouraged. While in IOP, clients attend programming 7 days a week. Clients attend programming between the below hours, varying based on the day of the week.
