Glenbeigh's intensive outpatient treatment and continuing care provides recovery services to individuals while they continue to work, attend school and live at home.

What is an intensive outpatient program?

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are for individuals who are medically stable and able to maintain abstinence while attending a structured outpatient program. Services are designed to help participants face the challenges of early recovery and learn to manage life without the use of alcohol or drugs.

What is aftercare in recovery?

Aftercare, also referred to as continuing care, provides support and continued monitoring as people in recovery reengage in work, school and home life. Aftercare concentrates on life experiences and the use of coping skills.

Is Glenbeigh a licensed inpatient?

Glenbeigh is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Ohio for both inpatient and outpatient services.

How does Glenbeigh help people recover from addiction?

In order for a person to recover from the disease of addiction, one must abstain from all mood-altering chemicals. Glenbeigh attempts to match patients based on age and drug of choice while in the detox process.

How does one get admitted to Glenbeigh?

The first step toward recovery begins with either a phone call or a completion of the online contact form . The admissions staff is available to answer any questions and gather information to best determine how Glenbeigh can help. You are welcome to contact Glenbeigh 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 800 234-1001.

How do I receive a copy of my medical records after I've left Glenbeigh?

To speed up the process of receiving a copy of your medical records, Glenbeigh alumni may complete an Authorization for Release of Information form and mail it to Glenbeigh, Attention Medical Records, P. O. Box 298, Rock Creek, Ohio 44084. Documents may also be submitted by secure fax to 440-563-9661 or by email to [email protected]. Patient records or other requests for information will be mailed or faxed to the recipient. Confidential information cannot be emailed outside the Glenbeigh network. For more information, or to verify receipt of a request for records, please contact the Medical Records Department at 440-563-3400.

What should patients bring when being admitted?

Glenbeigh provides the linens, towels, three balanced, nutritional meals a day and snacks. Patients should pack clothing for approximately 7 days. Laundry facilities are available at no cost, but patients need to bring their own laundry detergent. They should also bring clothing appropriate for outdoors and for participation in the fitness/recreational program.

What tests does Glenbeigh use?

Glenbeigh uses the most accurate tests available. Glenbeigh continues to promote the use of masks, social distancing, daily temperature checks and hand washing among patients and staff.

How is length of stay determined?

Length of stay is determined according to each person’s individual needs. Each patient is assessed daily to determine appropriateness of transitioning to a lower level of care.

Is Glenbeigh a locked unit?

Glenbeigh is not a locked unit. Patients that come to Glenbeigh come on their own free will and sign themselves into treatment. Glenbeigh is a specialty hospital for the treatment of alcoholism and other drug addictions and not a psychiatric unit.

Is Glenbeigh liable for the difference between charges?

Glenbeigh shall not be liable for any difference between charges listed in the price lists and the final bill for services. You may be eligible for financial assistance under the Glenbeigh financial assistance program. Financial need is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
