How long does it take for fluorouracil to work?

The amount of time and schedule of infusion varies depending on a specific protocol, it may be given over several hours to several weeks. I'm a year late answering your question, but others may stumble across your question and need an answer too. When I finished the Fluorouracil cream (and in some cases before I finished the cream if it was unbearable)... I used a lidocaine gel 4% or a lidocaine cream 4%.

How long does it take to get to the end of sun damage?

Some of us reach this stage in two weeks, others in 4-6. Quite honestly, there are some patients who take even longer to reach the end of treatment. There are some patients with extensive sun damage who react much more rapidly and reach the erosion stage before the prescribed 4 weeks on their tubes.

Can you bleed with a cream?

Depending upon the patient, some areas may even bleed slightly once the cream has fully absorbed and the skin has dried out. At this point in treatment, it becomes extremely difficult to even apply the cream, and the slightest touch could send you into orbit.

Is Efudex cut and dry?

Your little bottle with the childproof cap even has an efficiently printed label clearly showing you when you need to stop taking your medication. Efudex, also a prescription medication, has the unfortunate distinction of not being so cut-and-dry.

How to treat efudex?

These are two types of topical creams that doctors usually prescribe on the first and second days of healing after your Efudex treatment has been stopped 1. During this time, expect your skin to crack and bleed and sting, and expect your eyes to swell.
