How long does it take for syphilis to disappear after treatment?
You may have one or more sores. The chancre disappears within three to six weeks. Swollen lymph glands in your neck, armpits or groin.
Can I pass syphilis to my partner after treatment?
Don't have sexual contact with anyone while you're being treated. After treatment, wait at least 10 days and until all sores are healed before you have any sexual contact. Even if you use a condom, you and your partner or partners can still spread the infection.

When and for how long is a person able to spread syphilis? Syphilis is considered to be communicable for a period of up to two years, possibly longer. The extent of communicability depends on the existence of infectious lesions (sores), which may or may not be visible.

CMV can be present in saliva, and herpes and syphilis can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, particularly at times when sores are present.
How long does it take for penicillin to cure syphilis?
If you had syphilis for more than one year, you need three shots—one shot a week for three weeks. If you're allergic to penicillin, be sure to tell your doctor. If you have an advanced case of syphilis, you may need stronger treatment. You may get shots of penicillin every day for 10 days.
Will I always test positive for syphilis?

Is syphilis contagious forever?

After the initial infection, the syphilis bacteria can remain inactive in the body for decades before becoming active again.
