How long do you leave the Nix lice treatment on?
The instructions say that you're to saturate the hair with the NIX lice treatment, leave on for ten minutes and rinse out. The permethrin is supposed to kill the live head lice (the crawling insects). Then you’re instructed to do a thorough nit-combing, to remove all the nits.
How long does it take for lice treatment to work?
If a few live lice are still found 8–12 hours after treatment, but are moving more slowly than before, do not retreat. The medicine may take longer to kill all the lice. Comb dead and any remaining live lice out of the hair using a fine–toothed nit comb.
