I never thought to try using the batclaw from the ground to take care of him, you might consider giving that a shot, but the batarang method works just fine. No sweat--hop into the alcove and vent on the left and follow it to a hole in the ceiling that can be grappled up. Now proceed through the Gardens until you find Poison Ivy--the path is really straight forward; in fact, one of her slithering tentacles will lead you right to her.
Where to find the Riddler Trophy?
Riddler Trophy Look for a ledge you can grapple to on the west side of the Intensive Treatment's wall (near the door leading to Arkham West) to find a trophy. Once you've cleaned out the area, head through the door leading to Arkham East (found, fittingly enough, on the eastern side of the area).

In the Transfer Loop, search for a grate up high in the eastern area (use Detective Mode to reveal it in orange). It leads into the center of the tall shaft at this end of the area. Pull it down with the Batclaw when you get it and grapple up. Follow the shaft back to the marker.

In the destroyed elevator shaft in Secure Transit, near the top you'll find a Chronicle of Arkham marker along the wall in plain sight.

About half way up Secure Transit Area shaft you'll find a platform with a low-hanging beam. Crawl under this and move towards the south wall to find some destructible panels. Mine them with Explosive Gel and scan the marker behind on of them.

You can find some of these tricky teeth in the south end of the Transfer Loop and in the halls north of Decontamination. There are teeth in offices near the very start of the game as well.

Processing Corridor -- You'll see a vent along the bottom of the wall highlighted in orange. Approach it, remove it and crawl inside to find a Riddler Trophy. This unlocks the Riddler Character Profile.

In Arkham east there are more snipers to deal with. Grapple up to the nearest tower and dispose of the first. Flo at down behind the far tower and do the same there. Be sure to check for teeth around the snipers. Head into the Botanical Gardens when you've finished the area up.
